2010 Season - Week 5

BUMS Players Hall of Fame

Thanks to those who have already got their votes in for the 2010 Hall of Fame Player ballot. You vote for players based on 3 criteria:- scoring, impact and enjoyment they’ve provided. Attached (again) are the 12 men who have been chosen for nomination. Select your favourite 5 players (in order) and get them back to me by 4pm this Sunday, October 17th, which is Trading Day 1. The 4 highest scorers will join the selected band of BUMS Hall of Fame players including Morten Anderson, Tom Brady, Shaun Alexander & Marvin Harrison. Go on, do it now it’ll only take a minute. Trading Day 1 We need to trade, in week 4 we averaged less than 20 points per owner, our lowest since week 9 of 2008. Trading Day 1 is here, prior to week 6’s games at HQ from 4pm this Sunday. Let me know if you are coming or intending to remote trade (phone or email) I’ve re-attached the Player Salaries and a list of the new players now available to you. A reminder for everyone how Trading Day works. Firstly this is one of only two times when you can make changes to your team. Trading Day 2 will be before the week 10 fixtures on Sunday 14th November. On Sunday we all give up any players we wish to cut in the order of lowest scoring owner to highest. Then the lowest scoring owner will select 1 replacement player followed by second lowest and so on. Once the highest scorer has selected a replacement player we return to the lowest and so on until all rosters are full again. You may select players dropped by others but you must end trading within your $10m budget and with a legal squad (1 x Coach, 1 x Kicker, 1 x QB, 2 x RB, 3 x Receivers). If you cut a Franchise player you must still pay him until his contract is up eg when Cheryl cuts Franchise RB LenDale White (who is on IR) she will still have to pay him his $1m salary until the end of his contract and so will only have up to $9m to spend on her players until the end of the year. So running from worst to first trading order will be:- 1 John, 2 Craig, 3 David S, 4 Cheryl, 5 Dave G, 6 Johnnie, 7 Daz, 8 Marcus, 9 Wayne, 10 George, 11 & 12 Aaron & Chief (Coin Flip) Daz, 13 & 14 Andy H & Mark (Coin), 15 Ron and 16 AP. BUMS on Seats. So on Sunday after Trading Day we will see Miami @ Green Bay followed by Dallas @ Minnesota. The late Sunday Night Game (Indianapolis @ Washington) will be seen on Monday evening at Andy H’s in Perivale from 6:30pm and we’ll be at Johnnies on Tuesday from 6:30pm to see Monday Night Football as Tennessee travel to the Jacksonville. All are welcome, but let us know if you are coming as we are cooking.
